Use of NONTOX® to Eliminate Emergency Oil Spills

This study explores the potential of the biocatalytic dispersant “Nontox” for oil spill response, drawing on international experience. The paper examines its dual-action mechanism, combining physical-chemical dispersion and biological processes, as well as its versatility and efficiency in challenging environments, such as low temperatures and high salinity. Special attention is given to the need for regulatory adaptation in Russia to facilitate the early-stage deployment of hybrid technologies in spill mitigation.
